This is a very pretty non-excavated Georgia button by Mintzer of Philadelphia. This is one of the examples with the date "1861" on the reverse in the backmark stamp. This is a beautiful button with delicate die work and expensive production values. It measures 24mm across. Even the depressed channel with the backmark is stippled, as are portions of the face. Overall, a very nice example exhibiting little wear.
